Dessets n Food

Muffins from Chocolat N' Spice.
Lovely. First time I acknowledge that a muffin is nice. It is soft and not dry.. I can easily eat up 2 at one go. You can get it at Tanjong Pagar or Shun fu road.

Chewy mochi.
Not very nice. It has different coats at the top layer. Inside is some chocolate cream thingy with a chewy crust. It really is neither here nor there.. $1/piece. Not for the picky ones. Located at the shop beside chocolate n spice at Tanjong Pagar.

Heard from my mum that they are opening a second outlet at the new space in Bugis Junction.

Pepper lunch
Salmon creamy pasta.. PAsta sauce is a bit little and not very flavourful. The pepper rice still score the points.

HK cafe @ Junction 8 (located opposite Ding Tai Fung)
Went with mummy to check out this place. The yuan yang is only $1.3 and the yuan yang dessert (almond mix and black sesame mix) cost $2.5. What is worth mentioning is the HK chicken baked rice with mushroom. The portion is huge and cost $7. The chicken is also quite tender and tasty. However the rice is a bit watery and so so only. However the chicken and cheese makes up for it.

The good thing is that the prices are net (without any GST or service charge)

Canele @ Paragon
Finally got my hands on the Macarons. I keep on seeing it on newspaper about this new dessert from France. It is actually made of almond biscuit with filling in the center. To my amaze, the biscuit is very soft with a light tinge of almond flavour.

Lovely. I tried the caramel one. A bit sweet but it is heavenly. For this small dessert, it cost $1.8 each.
This chocolate cake is very nice and sinful.. It is quite ni till the end. MAybe because I was too full le. Cost $6.5 ++
