Girls' Day out @ Malaysia _301009

830am: Bugis station meet-up
10am: Reached Malaysia and headed for Macdonald for breakfast
11am to 2pm: KTV @ RM 12 includes salad buffet and 2 drinks... The drinks we ordered were simply too sweet so we went for the free flow of drinks at the bar counter instead. Buffet was simple, edible food include egg, corn soup and mango pudding..

Hygiene KTV... Even has a cover for the microphone...

Group photo at KTV... Each room has a different theme...

Work Updates

22 October 2009: Last day of work
Ended my 3+ years of work...

Thoughts: Kind of an inertia to move on due to the relationships forged... However moving on does not mean relationships will die off... Moreover, with the gym sign-up, I could even meet up with my girlfriends more often...

2 November 2009: First day of work and boss's surprise party

What a day to start my first day of work. Was also my big boss' birthday. Threw a surprise party at his house. A bunch of close knitted colleagues...

Thoughts till far: Love the people @ work, working hours and best of all no work when home...
Love the fact I do not have a laptop too..

Interesting food - Photos taken with Samsung jet

Japanese food

Dinner with Xian at a Japanese restaurant located at the basement of Hong Leong Finance.

Gyoza - $3.9

Ramen - $13.90..
Yummy. Love the half boiled eggs.. Also each mouthful tastes different due to the different ingredients on top i.e. seaweed, kimchi, fried chicken and the chasu...

Guess what is this.....

Chocolates wrapper

Chocolates bought at Millenia tower... This is an interesting shop.. Looks like a pharmacy from the outside...
I bought the Lychee Martini chocolate. Very yummy.. but at a high cost. $12 for a very small piece...About 1/3 of cadbury family block.

The chocolate... Heavenly... chocolates range between $8 to $12... They even have tea chocolates and Sze Chuan pepper chocolates. Dare to try??

Dinnder @ Thomson..

Was so stressed after work that Ed suggested eating at Thomson.
We usually hang out at Miss Clarity Cafe.. But we decided for a change and gave Retro Cafe a try...

Ed's dish. A very yummy chicken. Some jumbo chicken @ $10..
It is like stewed and fried at the same time. Very flavourful. love it.
The owner is also very nice. Keep on making small talks with us. He was saying this is like some french restuarant standard food but at cafe prices.. also this dish takes about 2 days to make. With all the marinating stuff.. Thus they are considering taking it off the menu..

Mine.. Dory fish with spaghetti. The fish is nice.. Though the tomato based gravy is a bit too sweet for my liking. Think cost about $7.

Followed by Dessert... Fried pisang with ice cream.. Yummy.. Lovely combo.

Will visit them again soon....

Arnold's Chicken at City Plaza...

We queued 1.5 hours in total. 1 hr to get into the restaurant and 0.5hr for the food to be served.
Meat is very tender.. Not too bad... Cost $5.5 for the half chicken... Will eat again if there isnt any queue..

After sharing the half chicken, we went to Geylang and walked around. I chanced upon this food, which we will usually see it at Pasar malam. However the interesting part is that the filling is with gula melaka instead of the usual peanut or coconut filling.
Cost $1 for 3 piece. Queued 20 mins for this...

Southern Ridge 11 Jul 2009

Started off with our favourite meal at Superdog at Vivocity. Love the Chicken Capsicum Dog and the chilli fries. Got to charge ourself for the 4km walk. We decided to start off from Harbourfront, Marang Trail.

Start of the trail. Xian and me... This flight of stairs nearly killed me... The route up to Mount Faber...

We followed the park connector trail before reaching one of the highlights: Henderson Waves. Quite pretty. It was supposed to lit up from 7pm. However as we were early, no lights were up yet...
The Group photo
Continued walking... Felt like we were on some holiday and feeling carefree... Look pretty right..
This place is pretty, at Hilltop Walk. I am going to take my wedding photos there.. A lot of lavender over there..

Last stop of the trail...Alexandra Arch.. We spent a total of about 2 hours covering the 4km walk... A bit disappointed as the arch was supposed to have varying colours. When we were there, we only saw a montonous yellow colour.

We then headed off to Holland Village for supper. Nice day out....
