Baking Blackforest cake 21 Mar 09 (Sat)

Baking with Ed's mum in Malaysia...

Target: Black forest cake...

The preparation...Bought a can of black forest.. Quite yummy to eat... Popped a few into my mouth during the process.. haha...


Whipping the Optima flour (150g)... for 20mins... Super challenging on the hand... Have to keep it continously whip for 20mins...The add 3 eggs and continue to whip... Then bake at 180 degree celsius for 20 mins..




Next up: The whipped cream.. The most expensive ingredient of all. Cost RM17/litre.. Considered cheap (by the lady boss)... Have to whip for another 20 mins without stopping. Our first attempt failed as we swopped hands.. So in the end Ed's mum have to do it alone for another 15 mins...



Cutting the cake into half and filling it with the black forest....Spreading the freeze whipped cream onto the cake....


The final product.. Really quite yummy considering that this is our first attempt!!!
Feel like eating another slice too...
