WOMAD 24 Aug (Friday)
WOMAD- Acronym for World of Music Arts & Dance.
A 3 day event. Ed and I went on the first day. An interesting platform which showcasts a wide variety of great different kind of music. We reached at 7pm and stayed till 1140pm. My personal favourite are the Mahotella Queens from South Africa.
They are a group of 10 people although only about 6 turned up on that day. Their age are generally above 50 years old. Oh boy, the ladies really can dance despite their age. Their bubbly personalities and happy song is a great start to the event.

The Fort Canning Park Center.
While seated on the grass watching the performance. The drinks are on the house. Thanks to the Sponsor.
Helping ourselves to the free drink. The cool part is that the drinks are inside this big huge container made of ice.
Another of my personal favourite- Taste the World. An event which WOMAD artiste whip up a dish for us to try. I got the luck of trying out mouth watering speciality from Senegal called Chicken Yassa by Daara J. The cooks in action...
Quite nice. Sweet and sour. Quite delicious. Rice is those sticky type but the green thingy is too sour for my liking.
I succumbed to temptation. Ordered the beer butt chicken from Bloodie's Roadhouse Bar & Grill. Nice nice. Cost $9 with the nacho chips. An eventful day!
