Taiwan Day 4 (6 June Wed)
First Stop: 九份.
Ed and I booked the train tickets to get to 瑞芳. Hopping on the 9:03am train, we are all set for the day.
After alighting the train, we got on the 基隆客運 to get to 九份. The streets of 九份 is pretty though a bit commercialized. Oh ya, leading up this flight of stairs is a stall selling good Yam balls, called 阿柑姨芋圆。There is a scenery hall at the back of the store where you can enjoy the scenery also.
The scenery hall where you can enjoy scenery with the pleasure of eating your dessert.
The view of 九份. The weather was slightly misty. Heard that 九份 loves to cry.
My dessert, there is sweet potato balls, yam balls and green bean balls in red bean, green bean and broad red bean soup. Cheap and delicious. This is called 综合(Mixture).
After dessert, we proceeded to 九份咖啡店。The place is super expensive. We ordered a cup of coffee and it cost about S$10 and it tasted horrible. Please dont go to that shop! However the scenery at the secong floor is real pretty.
Me and the scenery
The horrible coffee. Looks pretty but taste horrible.
草仔Kueh. Tasted chewy. Cost NT10 for one. We ordered the one with raddish inside so it tasted salty. Quite nice. There are several other flavours, like red bean, yam and etc.
Me with my 草仔Kueh.
Our lunch. 鲁肉饭 and 鱼圆,花枝 (Cuttlefish balls) and Fuzhou Fish Balls Soup. I love the rice and their noodle.
九份 view after the rain stops.
Second Stop: 五分埔
We queued quite a while for this. Tasted cripsy on the outside and meaty on the inside. The preparation style is similar to dumpling except that they use the Indian style to bake it. (those use charcoal and they will paste the flour on the walls of the funnel) Tasted not bad. Silly me, I realised that I ate the same stuff on the first time at Shilin. haha.
饶河夜市 is a very small night market. We only spent about half an hour walking. Oh ya there is a shop that sells real cheap bag for NT50 (=S$2.50). I got myself one bag there. Looks bit cheap but it is just S$2.50. Haha.

We got LOST! We hopped on to the wrong train and ended up stranded at the train station for half an hour. In the end, we were delayed by 2 hours in reaching Keelung.
We finally reached our last destination at 8p.m. We hurried to find the deliciaes that our Taiwanese friends recommended. Refer to photos below for our Sumptuous Dinner.
SOme fish soupy thing. Quite nice. I ordered it out of Curiousity.
