Last day in Grand Canyon...

Life here really is very slow paced (except when I am at work.. hee)

I guess I will miss the life, people and scenery here.. Living here is like staying in a village where everybody know each others.. This kind of feeling is great!

The departure of our Group...

5 singaporeans left today.. Off to their trip!!! So fun.. In just a short span of 4 more working days and I will embark on my trip.. heee. Looking forward to it...

Time really flies down here... Though I dread working everyday, the people here make up for the hardship... They will help me out everyday for housekeeeping.. (as I have one of the hardest section to clean, it is practically impossible for me to clean up the rooms by myself) heee.. But i just gotta hang in there for 4 more days...

Today is my off day.. Slept at 1am last night and woke up at 615am to send my frenzs off... Then went back to my room to pack my sutff. Hopefully I can pack all my stuff into my luggage..Somehow my stuff seems to be " growing". Then at 1030am, went to use the internet till 12pm before headed for lunch... After our meals, Nicole and I went to the gift shop to make our last minute purchases.. heee (employees are entitled to 40% discount for most of the stuff and today is the last day) I am supposed to go on a hike in the afternoon but i am just too lazy.. so I am back here at our employee dining room using the computer.. heee...

I wont be using the computer often as I will start on my trip soon.. (about a week time) See you all when I am back in Singapore...

I have catched a total of 8 sunsets since I am in grand canyon.. Haaa. Kinda lost track of it.. But this was fun, especially with the company.. The taiwanese gals are cute and fun loving.. Enjoy the photos...

Me and ED...

The forces of unity

Haa.. Look at Ed's pose..we are all suppose to look in different directions. Ed choose not to look at all.. Haa..

Trees along the way...

Nearing the end point.. Interesting right??

The end point.. Scenery is totally unlike North Rim.. Looking the canyon from a different angle is interesting..

My new camelbak.... got it at 40% discount.. Cost US$24.. Great deal!

Uncle Jim's house.... Super Chilly inside.. Bit eerie too...

Great Accomplishment..Day 1

The embarkment of my lifetime trail.. haaa... trekked a total of 14 hours.. Haa. still cant believe that i make it.. Start out on 4th July (independence day) at 430pm and camp overnight...

The start of trail. See how engertatic we are...

Our super flimsy tent... I cant believe we slept in it.. Liying and I were so scared that snakes would come into our tent (more of like a garbage tent) We could not sleep at night. I only had 1 hour of quality sleep. The next day on 5th July, we set off at 5am..

We have reached the bottom of the canyon. Phantom Ranch. The first civilised place that I have seen. The washrooms have proper wastage system.. Cool ya. The food that they have there are all sent by the mules.. So you can imagine how expensive the food is over there.

The interior of Phantom Ranch canteen...

The silver bridge.. Think we saw a total of about 7 bridges along our way.

Haaa. We are on the bridge..

Indian Garden.. We took so long to get there. See how tired we looked..

The view that I saw along the way...

Ponchos.. It rained on our way up.. But it was only a slight drizzle.. Lucky us.

Great Accomplishment (at south rim) Day 2 and 3

Depart for the South RIm on the 4th July (independence day). Started at 430pm and camp a night at cottonwood. Will load the trail photos soon. These are photos taken at the south rim. We stayed there for two days. Fun and interesting!!! SImply big and many many people. Thank to the south rim frenzs who hosted us there...

First morning in South Rim with Boon Sing and Alfred. (Thank alfred for being the photographer)

The view we saw at South Rim... Dark clouds looming the sky...

Wow they even have train station there!!! I cant believe it is so big!!!

El Tovar, the most expensive hotel in South RIm. Cant sleep there!! Too ex...

The general store is so big!!

The interior of the general store... Looks like wal-mart ya..

One of the viewpoints at south rim.

Desert View watchtower tour... We managed to catch 3 free tours (free only for employees) Pretty right? Had a total savings of about USD$60/person for the 3 tours.

The interior of the tower.

The survivors of North Rim hikers..

Second free tour.. Catch sunrise at 430am.. I cant believe we make it even though we only had 2 hours of sleep..

Group photo. (together with some of my south rim frenzs) I really had fun there.. Thank for bringing us around!!! Come visit us soon oh!
