Mooncakes

Yi Fan Proud masterpiece.

Lovely mooncakes! Notice the wordings on the mini mooncake. Fragant pandan mini mooncakes. My first mooncake for the year. Thanks Fan for these lovely mooncakes...

Gelare Ice Cream Mooncake

Raffles Hotel Mooncake

Champagne Mooncake. Inside the mooncake is a ball of white champagne chocolate truffle. At first when I bite into it, I was expecting the champagne to oooze out. However it didn't. A bit disappointing.. But quite an innovative idea to fix truffle with mooncake.

Baked Mooncake from Raffles Hotel with macadamia nut and twin egg yolk.Lovely.

Thanks Uncle for the mooncakes.. His company got 20% discount so he got it for us... So nice of him.

Mum's birthday @ Melben Seafood

Celebrated mum's birthday at Melben Seafood. Gen had been saying that the crabs there are a must try... Very fresh indeed. However I was sick on that day so did not really have much appetite...

Vegetables with all sorts of mushroom... $12/plate

Bamboo clam in garlic... Most expensive dish.. $40/5 sticks

Crab fish bee hoon... $35

Chilli Crab $35

Man tous $4/10 piece
Conclusion: The bamboo clams are nice.. But a bit too pricey. Love the crabs.. My sis who is not a fan for buttery stuff do not like the fish bee hoon. I thought it was pretty nice. Tasted like cream of mushroom with the tinge crab in it.

Petite Provence (Super Duper Nice Bread) @ Central

A relaxing day.. I finished my supposedly full day training course in half a day. It was a computer based training so it is an own time own target thing..
After lunch at Hong lim today, Xian, Hui wen and I went to Central to shop. Hui wen keep on saying that there is a very nice bread there. Of course we got to check out that.

The bread was really superb.. Can be compared to my love for doughnuts from Doughnut Factory. This bread is my favourite among all the other breads that I have eaten. These 2 food are on par with each other. Come to think of it, I really wish I can savour them now.

I tried the chocolate petite wassant (as shown below)... Super fluffy and soft.. Easily chewable and smooth that it can simply melt in your mouth.. With a few bites, I have gobbled them up.. It will be a bonus if it is more chocolaty but anyway it is still simply heaven... $0.50 per piece..

I also tried the chesese ball (as shown below)... Has a very chewy mochi texture. However the light fragant cheese smell and taste in it can be quite heavy and you cant eat much of this... Cost $0.80/piece..

One thing to note, their breads are super hot selling... Hui wen say there is a wider collection at Holland Village. Got to check that out someday... By the way, i researched and found out that their milk bun is a hot favourite too. http://www.hungrygowhere.com/provence

Cookery 8th lesson

Radish Puff
Love the spirals on the pastry. Looks like UFO.

Crystal dumplings...
Nice food. The filling is very yummy...

My last lesson of the advance course. Felt a bit guilty that I am no longer attending it with mum for the basic courses. My excuse was to get prepared for the peak... Excuses (as always)... Hehe. Hope my mum will continue to whip up nice dim sum for us.
